Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Secure Online Payment
We accept most cards, including: Visa, Visa Delta, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo and JCB.
You can use either Universal Payment Gateway (UPG) through Secure Hosting Ltd or PayPal.

UPG (with SecureHosting Ltd)
At Checkout your card will be pre-authorised. We will not charge for any item until the order has been dispatched and theorytically received. Backorder items, if any, are not charged until they are shipped and the full order has been completed.
PayPal
If you are using PayPal, with or without a Paypal account, your card will be charged immediately and your bank account should be debited within 2-3 days. If we are unable to complete the transaction we will refund your account accordingly.

Non UK orders
If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

PayPal Gift Vouchers
PayPal Gift Vouchers are supplied solely by PayPal. Anyone can buy a voucher, for any amount, even if you don't have a PayPal account. Vouchers can be transfered to anybody but you will need an active Paypal account to redeem them. To redeem your voucher, simply shop at VillagedeFrance as usual and select the Pay using PayPal option at checkout and enter the code from your voucher in the "redeem code" box. PayPal terms and conditions apply.

Contract
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
At Village de France we are commited to deliver our quality products, in good condition and in the best possible time. We are working with numerous parcel companies to insure the best service at any given time.
Shipping costs are based on the total weight (in Kg) of your order.

Prices for UK (Mainland) Standard Rate (17.5%):

All orders up to 10kg are £4.25 (£4.99 inc.VAT)
Orders between 10 and 20kg are £6.80 (£7.99 inc. VAT)
All orders above 20kg are £9.35 (£10.99 inc. VAT)

Prices for UK (Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands) Standard Rate (17.5%):

Free Shipping for Chichester customers:

All customers living within a 15 miles radius from Chichester City centre can select the free shipping option. You only pay for the goods (for orders above £5.00). This applies to PO18, PO19 and PO20 postcodes. Simply select the "Chichester Customer" option in the preferred delivery section at checkout. We will personaly provide Next day delivery to the given address.

Handling (packing) is free of charge.
Prices may vary on some occasions.
Delivery Schedule
We will prepare and dispatch your order right away, choosing the most appropriate Parcel Company available for your location. You will receive an automated Dispatch Advice email with a contact number, our email and a tracking number if available. Once a parcel is dispatched it will be the responsibility of the courier.

Delivery service

All UK orders placed before 12am Monday to Friday are guaranteed for 48hours delivery *.
All UK orders placed on Saturday and Sunday are guaranteed for Wednesday delivery *.

* For orders to Northern Ireland please allow an extra 24 hours.

All UK orders placed before or during Bank Holidays might be delayed.
All International (non UK) orders are generally received in under 7 days

All Chichester customers orders will be dispatch next day, including weekends and bank holiday.

Parcel Tracking

Village de France does not provide a parcel tracking service. If our chosen Parcel Company for your order offers a tracking service then we will email you the reference number and the link.
Back Orders We are unfortunately not able to process back orders at this time. If your item is not available it will either be substituted for a similar product or cancelled. Your invoice will be adjusted accordingly.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT exempt.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our payment provider server (Secure Hosting Limited), using the UPG card processing service. All systems used by SecureHosting and its payment gateway UPG for the processing & storage of card information are audited and validated by Qualified Security Assessors to the highest possible standard available under the PCI DSS scheme. Paypal account customers will benefit from the usual Paypal payment guarantees.
Guarantee
We take great care in packing your order so it reaches you in perfect condition. If, for some reasons, it doesn't, we will be happy to refund or replace the damaged item(s) at no extra cost. All of our products will be despatched with at least one month use by date.

Returns Policy
On occasion that there may be a discrepancy or shortage of the order, or if the goods are damaged, the buyer must advise villagedefrance within three working days of delivery.
No returns will be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made. Villagedefrance cannot give credit for goods that are already price marked. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
