Village de France is a family company dedicated to the French way-of-life : time, atmosphere, family, friends and of course, good food. So we created "Village de France", a French village on the internet, like a little community ("le village") with news, recipes and links, and a daily market ("le marche"), where you can find a good selection of French regional products at an affordable price.

Village de France

Villagedefrance is the trading name of our company, registered in England in june 2007, under the name Cosmic Pygmy Limited. Our commercial purpose is to promote and sell quality French food specialities, in the UK where we are based, and as far as we can reach in the world. We source and import all our products directly from France. Cosmic Pygmy Ltd became member of the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) in January 2008 and started trading at the beginning of March 2008.

Natural Ingredients

We select our products carefully, always looking for the finest quality, from some of the best French producers. For that reason, most of our products do not contain preservatives, artificial colourants or flavourings. Natural ingredients makes healthy food, contributing towards a normal balanced diet.

Diet and Allergy Advice
Some of our products might not be suitable for people on a specific diet or to some allergy sufferers. Please make sure you consult the extended information link for each product if you are unsure. You can contact us at anytime if you wish to have more information on a specific product.

Environment

At villagedefrance we wish to do everything possible at our level to protect the environment. We believe in recycling packaging, saving energy to reduce carbon emissions and working with similarly minded business partners to, together, promote awareness on today's ecologically issues.

Administration
We only use recycled paper for all our administrative documents, envelopes and labels.

Packaging & Recycling
Villagedefrance uses recycled or bio-degradable materials in their packaging and reduces the use of non-recyclable plastics everywhere possible.

Saving energy
We use energy saving lightbulbs in our offices and all of our electrical equipments are switched off overnight, rarely left on standby.

Business partners
We are delighted to be working with 1&1 Internet Ltd, presently hosting our website, and who are using renewable energy to power their servers, hence making villagedefrance a greener website.
